Disable the ASIs (especially CLEO) and try again.
Seeing from the log, no .asi mods are actually loaded.

The interesting thing is that it actually crashes inside the d3d8 module. Are you playing with windowed mode off? (game_windowed setting vcmp_config.txt, can also check in-game with /listconfig)

Getting removed after some time is not technically a bug. Although perhaps the time should be increased to 30 seconds and the player should put away the detonator when this time runs out.

Possible solutions to some frequent problems.

  • Framerate is stuck at 26-28.
    Try using "/setconfig game_framereserve 10".

  • Game won't start, doesn't even open a window.
    Try changing "game_windowed 1" to "game_windowed 0" in the vcmp_config.txt file in your VC:MP directory (inside t2b1).

  • How to use a lower resolution with fullscreen?
    Set "game_windowed 1" to "game_windowed 0" in the vcmp_config.txt file in your VC:MP directory (inside t2b1) or by restarting the game after doing "/setconfig game_windowed 0".

  • I get an error about a missing DLL when launching the game.
    Install the Visual C++ 2013 redistributable: http://download.microsoft.com/download/2/E/6/2E61CFA4-993B-4DD4-91DA-3737CD5CD6E3/vcredist_x86.exe

same here.
Not yet. It will probably become possible to remove the default garage doors and replace it with a script object, which can be moved/rotated via scripts.

0.4 has every non-cutscene skin that is included with Vice City, even all the ones that weren't included with the game.

i'm installed 0.4 beta1 to my vice city. when beta 2 release can i still install to my old vice city(which was contain beta 1)?

There is no reason to install 0.4 into your Vice City folder, but if you really want to, installing it there again will work.

they fixed that in 0.4 so no more bugs i guess.
if you guys don't want to remove that then please add different msg for that cmd.

if i do /kill, then message will show ingame "Voyboy died (/kill/sucide") like that ?
or "Voyboy died using (/kill)"
then it will be easy for server owners to catch death evaders.
There are still ways to get stuck in the game. What I could do is let the server set the timeout for kill (for example between 0 to 10 seconds).

And it already tells the server that the player has committed suicide.

When health or armour goes over 100, it works as a second layer over the normal bar. So the maximum for both is 200.

The animation system will probably ask for both group and animation ID in the future, so all of those animations (477 in total) will be available.

Only showing dance animations there, but basically all animation are now supported.

The incomplete list posted by storm is a list of standard animations implemented in the game, which cannot be scripted in VC without any hacks.

Here is the true list, including different walking anims for specific pedgroups:

And "/do" anims are animations which can be scripted in VC, including the dance animation, which is really easy to add. The reason why dancing (or let's call it STRIP - official name of that animation) was not yet added is unknown :). VCMP doesn't load a "special animation pack", that's why we can't use it.

pretty sure it's been fixed in the beta.
It was mentioned that the original error with needing to run it under Win98/ME compatibility was, but either way this still needs the data location fixed, emulating or not.
If relocation is only needed for multiplayer, then it's not a fix, but a very hackish workaround. The real question is what is stopping Vice City from reading from the proper user directory when playing in multiplayer.
