Actually im not sure that works. One of my friends plays VC:MP with Vista, and he has exactly the same problem: the game works perfectly, but when he closes VC:MP, he gets masses of error messages. Then he has to terminate VC:MP via task manager. Compability modes didnt help with that.

i think he's on about the server browser max it happens to most people (maybe all people not sure :P) using Vista you get spammed with errors when ya close it.
* AdTec_224 thinks server browser has alot of bugs that need fixing

Server browser should be the only stable thing. :o

I guess those are not bugs, I think they're caused by Vista's megaweird """features""". You could try running it as administrator. Under Vista many different programs often crash because they don't have the administrator privileges or something. Try right-click and "Run as administrator".

There is that bug on vista plus a few bugs (not sure if they were fixed when lc-mp came out) like the -z param (server password) not being writen to the gta-lc.ini and small things like it doesn't delete the MP params from the gta-lc.ini so some n00bs that dunno how to edit files and stuff can't play single player.

Already tried it and it doesn't help.

Setting the compatibility mode solved my problem when I was using Vista.

I have vista, same problem... Well I did.

Just right click on your VC:MP client .exe file and click on properties. When the properties window comes up click on the compatibility tab and tick the box that says; Run this program in compatibility mode for:

then click on the tab underneath and set it as 'Windows 98 / Windows Me'

All the access violations will be gone.

Set it up just like this:

The only bad thing, everything ingame in vc:mp will be bigger like the chatbox and stuff.

So thats why I stick with just the normal setting and hold down enter until the access violations dissappear (which is about 3 seconds).
