General Discussion / Re: VCMP dead?
February 06, 2011, 06:41:21 PM
lol, yea, VC is simply the best GTA. I'm learning C++ and C# at the moment - might be interested in working with VCMP after I learn it (if that's allowed  :P).

Isn't giving every player "level 9 admin" a bit risky? Yes, it would be great for everybody to be able to kick/ban/warn the idiots, but in todays unfortunate society, there will always be people that sign up so they can ban everybody else.

General Discussion / VCMP dead?
February 06, 2011, 02:15:53 AM
I'm sure you get this question a lot, but is VCMP a dead project, or does it still have active developers? I mean, yea, SA/IV are newer, but they will never be as good as VC. I'd be happy to contribute a lot of things to the wiki, for other people to read and learn - and I'm always finding bugs and thinking "maybe it will be fixed in the next release", but is there going to be a next release?

VC:MP Clans / Re: VC:MP clans

Vice City Enforcers

Country: International
Leader(s): Callum
Co. leader(s): Stuart
Clan tag: [VCE]
Homepage: http://vce.sanlrpg.net/
Clan server: sanlrpg.net:5190
IRC channel: #vce @ SANLNet IRC (irc.sanlrpg.net)
Other info: We're a new clan (to VCMP), but we've migrated from MTA:SA and are now under a new name (the last one wasn't very clan-like). We've setup forums and a server, and are hoping to make a name for ourselves. We've got a big community back at SANL (our predecessor clan), so we can bring quite a few people over to VCMP. We're looking forward to setting up a few scripts on our server, and getting involved with the VC-MP community.

mIRC/pawn Scripting / Efficient ranking system?
February 03, 2011, 11:50:47 PM
I'm working on a clan scores system where players can use !clanstats and !topclans (idea from XE european server). I'm currently using the GUPS gamemode, and want to add this feature on. How would I go about making it efficiently? Any chance I could use the current GUPS method of .ini files? Basically, I want to assign each clan a score value, and then pull up the data and give it a rank based on all the other scores.

How exactly can you map new properties? And when I looked at the property files, where exactly is the property pos stored?

General Discussion / Re: Suggestions for Version 0.4

How about some reliable sync? (No offence to the developers)

The thing I hate the most in-game, is how when I shoot people, it inflicts no damage, yet they shoot, and somehow instantly get a headshot. It happens with every player I come into contact with. It's not even like I lag, I get 50 ~ 100 ping, and 20-40fps. I end up with like 10 kills and 50 deaths.

mIRC/pawn Scripting / Script editor link?
October 20, 2010, 07:57:15 PM
Sorry, I'm new to VC-MP and can't seem to find a download for a Pawn script editor compatible with/built for VC-MP. Would anybody be kind enough to provide a link? Thanks.

There already is a single-player. The whole point of this project is so that you can play GTA VC with other people online.

Support / Announce.exe
December 16, 2009, 07:16:48 PM
I have setup a server and I want it to appear on the VC-MP server list. I have ran my server then started announce.exe. When I start announce.exe nothing comes up (I presume it just does something without notice). but my server still dosn't appear in the server list. The server files are 0.3z and so is my client. How can I make it appear in the server list?
