I had something similar! Probably after adding a "clothing pickup" to the game. However I pressed ESC twice and sound was ok.
No, it is not related to that. For a player or a vehicle to have audio, the game attaches an audio entity to it. However, the limit of audio entities is 250 and increasing it is problematic.

It is terribly difficult to fix simply because it never happens when I want it to. And without reproducing it, it's impossible to find out why it happens and how to fix it. I will try to find a solution, but I can't guarantee anything.

I've made some pretty good improvements related to scripting lately. Unfortunately it all still needs testing, so release will take some time...

I'm aware of that and will work on it, but might not be in the next release because it requires a lot of work to make the game support non-ascii characters and implementing it now would further delay the release.

I have never said there's something wrong with Squirrel. I just said adding a second scripting language is not a priority right now.

I'll be travelling a lot in the next weeks, once I get back I will try to update network library to get the memory leak fixed and then see if there are any other critical bugs.

Squirrel is not officially supported. End of story. Isn't it obvious though that we cannot support something we don't control? Besides, each version update will make Squirrel servers not work for some time. Do you also expect Rockstar to have an official VC:MP subforum somewhere?

I've never said we will not officially add Squirrel, just it's not priority number one at the moment. We already have a scripting language, if you find that you cannot do something with Pawn, it is A LOT easier to just add the feature into Pawn than to add a new scripting language.

Its defined in the include script, But indeed its the MAX so over 180 will be unstable too.
Not sure why the include gives that amount, but the real maximum is 200.
