need help with scripting

hey im really new to this have no idea at all iw as hopeing some 1 could send me the complete folder for running teh serevr with a full script i really like the gangwar servers love to get 1 hosted for australian players so if any 1 could help me out would be much appreciated will give full rcon access to server just email me or add my msn [email protected]  thanks for your time hopeing for some great help

Hey,
Firstly you will need to download the server software, click on "0.3z Windows Server" from here
Then install the server.

Then you will need to download the script files from here
Click on the link in Tommis's first post and download that. (http://www.mta-xe.com/gus/vcmp/gus9.0.zip)

Now extract the files you just downloaded into your "vcmp" folder.
Your "vcmp" folder will be in the server software you downloaded first.

Now open the file "config.ini" and "vcmp.ini" which are both located in your vcmp folder.
Make sure that your RCON password in your config.ini file matches the password in your vcmp.ini file.
config.ini:

Code Select Expand

AdminPassword = "hello"

vcmp.ini:

Code Select Expand

PASSWORD=hello
Ofcourse the password can be anything you want it to be.

Then in the "vcmp.ini" file, change the IP Address to your server's IP Address.
If you will be running the server on the same computer as your script, then use the IP 127.0.0.1 (localhost)

Also you can change your server name in the "config.ini" file with this line:

ServerName = "Server Name etc etc"

Now open "vcmp-svr" which will be with the server files. (This runs the server)
Then open the program caled "mirc" in your vcmp folder.

mIRC should now be connected to your server, and you should be able to type in mirc, seeing the text ingame.
