Hello, I'm here to talk with you guys something that we should do, and it maybe can help VC-MP.

I think, that someone here remember when someone post, we have a reply in 10 seconds?
Now, if someone reply, rarely someone reply? Are VC-MP Forums dying or VC-MP does?

Like Everyone voted, VC-MP DOES!
I think we should stop being lazy, in IRC and disclose VC-MP to friends, to it be more populary. I understand that I'm wrong too, but I'm not the only one, guys!

People left VC-MP because wasn't getting new things. With 0.3zr2 We brought some, but not all.

Disclosing it, will help to make Vice City Multiplayer more populary, And I know most VC-MP Community are with me.

Thanks for reading, and I shout this:
We can make the difference, guys.
You'll be forever, a pielover.

We can make the difference, guys.
The ones who can make the difference are already busy making it. Others just don't care. So didn't quite get the idea of your post.

Plus, I would rather prefer a hundred of mature old-school VC players than a thousand of those SA schoolboys.

Yes, why don't we give a hand to thoses guys who wanna make the difference? Why don't you try to help too? I'm trying my best, trying to invite friends to VC:MP.

I'm attempting to convert the whole Russian GTA community to VC plus helping to revive one 2003 VC clan. How more "help" could you possibly expect?

What I mean is:
1) VC players are now some kind of elitist community. We don't play it because it's fashionable or because there are COOL N-I-G-G-A-S in it. We play it because we enjoyed it few years back and keep enjoying it today, no matter that there's GTA IV with all those fancy graphics (and shitty account system).
2) Even if you try to invite some people from SA (I doubt you're inviting people who have never heard of GTA), they will just not get the whole idea of VC. I love VC for its tactics (with stubby particularly) required to succesfully wield weapons, while in SA it's just about "who gets double sawn-offs/uzis first". Even on the servers where they are disabled, shotgun/deagle are no match to stubby/python in tactical richness. Most VC-MP modes try to "adapt" SA players by providing them with endless spaz (sic!), making VC a reputation of a "meat generator". If you just keep inviting those SA guys, it will probably become one. My view is that weapons must be limited and balanced, like it was done back in MTA:VC (which adaptation I use as VC-MP's server mode).
3) Many "worthy" old-school MTA:VC players are probably checking VC-MP's main page waiting for 0.4, as I did with waiting for 0.3z update. So my bet is that they all will inevitably come once 0.4 is released.

P.S. You're inviting people to IRC without even being in it? lol

Well, seems that YOU didn't understand what I said.
First think you said was:
QuoteVC players are now some kind of elitist community. We don't play it because it's fashionable or because there are COOL N-I-G-G-A-S in it. For sure, it keep enjoying us, and never VC:MP players will play because of fashionable people, people will keep joining VC:MP for fun.
Look, VC is a Old game, some people are leaving because, most people in world, are impressionated with new eletronic arts, they really don't care more for old games. The true is, that old games, rocks. All of this eletronic new arts is a copy of a copy. Just a bit more edited.

QuoteEven if you try to invite some people from SA (I doubt you're inviting people who have never heard of GTA), they will just not get the whole idea of VC. Well if you have noticed, I put like 24 members + in Vice City. All of my friends injoy'd it. And IF THEY don't understand the idea of VC, they would be like us, learning how to play a GTA game, right?

Well man I know that 24 members isn't enough, that's right I've posted this topic, to insentive you guys to help too man. And I'm not inviting SA players because I don't have contact with SA:MP. And even if i had, I wasn't, if you guys noticed, SA people are all people who don't have respect, people who think they're the majority, they can flame everyone they see. Some of thems, not all. I think Vice city is a game to enjoy, not a game to you think that you're the one, the man who can command VC:MP.

QuoteMost VC-MP modes try to "adapt" SA players by providing them with endless spaz (sic!), making VC a reputation of a "meat generator". If you just keep inviting those SA guys, it will probably become one. My view is that weapons must be limited and balanced, like it was done back in MTA:VC

I Absolutely agree that VC:MP are better than SA:MP. Like I said, SA just have populary, because people like new things, that don't pass of a copy of a copy. And I think that VC:MP don't have to do that man, because seriously, Vice City is one of the best games in the world. It is up SA.

7 - Vice City
6 - Vice city stories
5 - San Andreas.

Yeah, should be, but not exactly. People was waiting for 0.3zr2, I mean they was waiting for a update, 0.3zr2 appeared, and then, people joined, but not so much people, not enough people!
If 0.4 be released now, they'll keep waiting for another update, and this goes like that.

Let's just rename it into 1.0 and pretend it's final. lol

Alright for now I just wanna see what you guys will do to help VC:MP, it's not forced to do it, but IF you want a real game, with so much people, do it!
Maybe Developers would be happy to know that we are contributing to make VC:MP more full, or maybe alive again!

Can someone say me in 5 words what is this topic about :p?

Short and clear :). I agree, i dont see any sense why VCMP versions should be 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 03 :D, 0.4 etc, if we are stuck at 0.3 for a few years... Anyway dont think devs will change to 1.0 now anyway :].

Btw. nice cat Don :D.

maxorator

Definitely not 1.0, but haven't decided on 0.4 yet though.

That was a joke actually. Releasing 1.0 means "Ok, that's it. It is final. There're no more ways to improve it.". And there are actually LOTS of ways to improve VC-MP yet.

Well VCMP has changed much in past 2 years. As much as I can remember the amount of players used to be double or even triple bigger. Some people left vcmp, others came to it. Another group of people migrated to SAMP and returned a year later. Although, there were more servers in VCMP. What happened to NoN RPG, Game Sparks, Argonath RPG, Twisted Stunting, Ultra Mega Server and many other interesting servers?
On the other hand, we should be happy VCMP is not like VCO. A great MP released at wrong time and wrong place. It only proves that its all about the community, not the features.
I know advance mIRC, average C++, basic Pawn & Squirrel, very basic Java Script.

A joke? ! :p
"It is final" ok but it doesnt mean that 1.0 = end. Example: MTA:SA. Actual release is probably 1.0.3, that just fixes bugs from 1.0. And now devs are probably working on 1.1 and i guess, they have still ideas how to improve MTA.

Second: Windows ;o. The first windows was 1.0. XP was 5.0, Vista 6.0, Seven 7.0... :p

Compare it with other mp's... Yeah you are right, some ppl joined the VCMP community, some left, but just look at one thing: Vice City. The game was released hmm in 2003? Anyway im playing it since this time :D. But what i want to say is, that only "old" ppl will play VC. Kiddies 10 years will play a game created in this or last year, nothing 7 years old...

Because MTA:SA DOES look finished. They will probably make it to 1.0.7 or even 1.1.1, but no further. VC-MP, in turn, still have to make new and new versions. So they will either have to release each update once per few months, or make their numbers 4 digit (like 1.001 etc). I find both of the options stupid, you?

Also, Windows versions differ greatly, while VC-MP versions don't.
