it looks like they're sliding because it's in fact not an animation but a motion picture, I took screenshots at an interval of 2 seconds each to preserve hard disk space and editing time.

this took about 3 VC days worth of screen capture, which would mean approximately an hour of recording, another hour of re-recording whatever scenes did not come out particularly well and a third hour of editing and compiling it all into one.

0.4 Public Beta #2 / bug report

greetings all,

I was uninstalling the public beta through the uninstall programs interface the other day and it ended up uninstalling my entire VC directory.

I don't know whether it was a bad day for me or an actual bug in the installer but please take a look at it nevertheless.

Eh I expected this to be a tutorial when I saw the thread title. :p

Anyway, VC:MP uses UDP-protocol ports. The ports you have to port are obviously the ones that your server uses, which in this case appear to be 5192 and 8190.

If the font type used for VC-MP is still Arial Bold as it has been since the 0.1c times, then it is an OS issue. The reason why the font thins out on Windows XP is because XP renders it as the standard type of Arial whereas Windows 7 renders it as the bold one.

Yeah I'm sorry, I was wrong with the vehicle limit. It is indeed 180 and not 200. Seems my source exaggerated it a bit.  ::)



Before any of you ask, the reason why the last ID is 179 is because the vehicle counter starts at 0.

Regarding the model limit, however, I was correct. It is 50 because after 50 vehicles with 50 different models are spawned, your game will simply crash, regardless of whether you see the cars or not.



This is as far as I could go.
