Now I was being attacked by a hacker program called OopsCrasher, this program can shut down all servers in the muti, so expect people to try to prevent the program
-
OopsCrasher is just a UDP port flooder which can attack most game servers, it doesnt send any packets specific to a game.
Your server host can block this with a firewall, so contact them about it.
(as a shameful plug, vrocker-hosting blocks these attacks :)))
-
Yee you might get that host, is one of the bests ;)
-
Buy a vps linux and you do not able to close xD
-
This software usually sends attack to the server. Good thing Oops crasher cannot crash Mirc server, so if you connect your server to Mirc it will a advantage for you.... stupid of you to announce the software name in public :o
Bad thing is for Squirrel servers we don't get alerted if the server crashes.. :(
HINT: for Pawn/Squirrel (i dont think MMS is made for Squirrel) If you want to get your server back automatically when it crashes use Stormeus's Multi Mode server (MMS)
i'll give ya a preview about the software about what I KNOW:
This software was made for crashing SAMP servers due to jealousy. some weeks earlier i saw Argonath RPG in vcmp server was been attacked by these software and later on i saw so much vcmp server been attacked..........
/me is sad to see vcmp servers been attacked
-
???
meh. just use squirrel server it won't crash a pin

It does crash..
Go ahead try it once and reply

Well ... I've used the server after being attacked ... but I have found all the programs against attacks from google that is not effective
-
mine svr is also attacked by many crashers
-
Everyone says that the server can squirrel remedy against attacks that ... but when I use x86 servers squirrel on the window ... it is not effective against using it effectively on linux. .. who can fix this problem so that the server is maintained stable. Thanks a lot
-
I decided to try stupid program OopsCrasher against some stupid server CS but this program instead of the lift lag it took up my server lag so that I can not attack the servers of the VC-MP.

Yes ... it increases the server's ping ... I do not know your server may be closed or not ... but because this program .. many of VCMP server has been closed

And you thought this was an ok thing to do?

it just Floods UPD Ports and Pawn servers cannot handle that ..
Squirrel less affected by Oops crasher.

About OopsCrasher, I tried it on two servers I own. One is Squirrel and is the Vice Legends TDM server. The other is Pawn and is the Vice Legends A/D server. I ran a packet sniffer while I was doing this. The Pawn server, as you would've expected, crashed. The Squirrel server was still available. Why? This is my theory:
The packets being sent are SAMP packets, which are also compatible with VCMP since they're both made from the same code base as of 0.3z r2. However, the packets that this version of OopsCrasher were sending seem to be invalid packets. The server does not "crash." However, the server will spend eternity trying to read a packet that's not even valid; and the connection is lost.
Squirrel, on the other hand, seems to drop or ignore these invalid packets. This allows it to stay up during an OopsCrasher bombing. While it may not be able to handle a botnet of millions, that's a highly unlikely scenario, so you should be safe from most, if not all, VC:MP DDoS kiddies.
If you couldn't understand that, well, your loss.

Squirrel win again.

In simpler words, the Squirrel devs have set anti-crash protection for the Squirrel server. I've been told the same can be done with a bit of hex editing in the Pawn server but it's really not worth it at the moment.
