everytime i try starting and connecting to a server it always tells me to select a file. what should i do.

and before i thought you were supposed to select VC single player and so i did now everytime i try connecting to a server it starts VC single player :-\

First of all, you were not supposed to choose the Liberty City installation settings. Only Vice City. Second of all, I think you are suppose to choose the directory and not gta-vc.exe?

First, install VC-MP to your VC Directory. Then open the Server Browser. Goto Tools>Settings>Vice City Installation Location and select the folder your VC is in. Once all are done, you can start playing!

so do i download the client and the server to VC single player

Maybe you have a modded Vice City ?

i already got it. it works thnks to anyone that helped :)
