I downloaded the mod, but IDK how to play! I've never modded a game before so I'm new to this. :(

What mod are you talking about, you need help in installing vcmp or what?

Install it in Vice City directory.

I put it straight into the GTA: VC folder in my Steam files, and nothing different happened.

you don't need to put it n any folder... you just have to select Gta vice city Directory after installing the client

This is your problem. You have to replace your Steam EXE (2.0) with the original Vice City EXE (1.0) for VC:MP to work.
