first of all,im a bit of a noob too,but i would say check you dont have any mods installed,make sure its a clean install of vc with just vc-mp :)

a windows dedicated server,which are quite expensive,but go round irc,maybe theres someone who has pc on 24/7 who will host them for you . . .

i think youll have to forward ports mate,you would be amazed how can a router get involved with everything like this,if you using port 5192,well that will be the one youll have to forward,also forward 5315 im not sure if its necessary though.hope this helps.good luck.

Note:Please correct me if im wrong,as im not a vcmp developer or havent been in vcmp enough time.

We all get that error while playing,although it seems easyer for ones to "close it".In my case,when screen freezes,i press "Space" and my desktop pops up,and that error report comes up,i press "Ok" and after few seconds another screen pops up,"Vice city crash message",i click on "close" and thatss it for me,i can rejoin.

In your case if you cant,Try Control + Alt + Del,go to process and "kill" gta-vc.exe and/or vc-mp.exe

to properly use "build mode" youll need to use 0.3x as build mode in 0.3z is buggy and the vehicles kind of spawn too high-low.

Scripts are used to add commands and cool stuff to your server.
