Title: Very wierd problem...
Post by: Darius on April 25, 2008, 12:22:18 AM
Okay, now when I try to play VC-MP I get this... (I have re-installed twice, but it does not help - VC-MP and Vice City)

It says I need to find the .exe, so I go over to where it is. And it does not show up.  :-\

You can see 'gta-vc' which is the exe.  ??? Can someone help?  :'(

Where exactly is gta-vc.exe located? Normally its in 'C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto Vice City'

Looks to me that your pointing VC-MP to the disk and not the directory. Point it to where the EXE is and it should work fine.

When it asks to locate it, just select the directory since the exe wont show up (if i'm remembering the selection right) so if its in the normal place, select the 'Grand Theft Auto Vice City' folder

If it doesn't work any other way, reinstall VC:MP into your Vice City directory. :)

Okay, well I did that. And it seemed to work!
It was loading up (although the intro video was there and stuff, so I think it was probaly singleplayer)
Then just as it got to the final loading screen, it froze+crashed!  ???

Make sure you don't have any other mods installed. Check your MSS folder in Vice City folder - there may only be two files with an .flt extension (reverb3 and vc-mp).

You should also post the crash log.
