ok i bought and downloaded the game from steam and i download the 0.3z version of VC:MP but when i join a server the game goes past the rock star logo and the game intro but when it hits the loading screen i hear a windows pop up noise, i alt tab out and it says this: incorrect gta-vc.exe version detected. You must use GTA:VC 1.0 to play VC:MP. any suggestions on what i should do?
You have the 1.1 Vice City Version you must change it...Or go play MTA :P :D
To play vcmp what you need is :
Vcmp 0.3z Client
gtavc.exe - version 1.0
if you are playing without disc. You need to have ALL audio files of GTAVC in your hard drive in GTA VC directory.. else you can play with play disc..

Seeing that you downloaded VC,
It is highly likely that you applied a cracked exe file.
VCMP will only run on gta-vc.exe which is v1.0
Re-install VC and try using it with a different crack or no crack at all.
If it is not the crack that is causing the problem,
Download another version of VC.
PS. All VC installations should install v1.0 ... I think.

I have the same problem as him.
The one I downloaded didn't have a cracked exe file and I downloaded the 1.1 verison.
Well me too happened that...
I haved some Vehicles Mods Problem..I reinstalled VC and i haved 1.1 version..
I unistall n' reinstalled VC and all goes good ;)
Try to change Crack...maybe you using the crack v1.1...Or try reinstall VC..
Or..Download another .iso of GTA:VC
