Linux server help

hi,
i have Debian Linux (Lenny)
and i get a error
Code: [Select]
kw-sysw:/home/kevin/servers/vcmp# ./vcmp.bin config.ini &
[2] 10282
[2]+  Exit 1                  ./vcmp.bin config.ini

whats the problem???:O

try opening the config file in a linux text editor like vim or nano

change something small (maybe just add a return at the end) then save the file and try to launch the server again

sometimes a windows formatted config.ini file will prevent the linux server from running

also be sure that you have file premissions set correctly

Not only a bump, but also a useless answer. How can he use ubuntu if he has bought for example a VPS or something? He won't be able to change the OS, he can ofc write to the administrator about this, but I don't think that the admin would agree to do that.

Say that to the servers administrators :). Anyway I hadn't ever problems with hosting on linux, none of my clan-mates also.

Only issue with linux server hosting with vcmp is the memory leaks...

Happens on 1 of my boxes, not on the other though :/
